Because Our Children Deserve More Than Promises. They Deserve Action.

Fresno Born. West Fresno Raised!!!!!

I am mother, an educator, an entrepreneur, a mentor, and a community advocate. These aren’t just titles, they are the roles I live every day, and they shape how I show up for our children, families, and schools. I’m running for the Fresno Unified School Board, Area 1 (Edison Region) because I believe leadership in education must be rooted in lived experience, compassion, and accountability.

Rooted In West Fresno

West Fresno isn’t just where I live — it’s part of who I am. It’s where I learned the power of community, resilience, responsibility, the importance of showing up for one another, and the belief that our children deserve more than just access to school. They deserve opportunity, care, and hope. West Fresno is where I learned that education is more than a system; it’s a lifeline for families and a pathway to opportunity for our children. This community raised me, and it continues to inspire my commitment to serve.

Why I Serve

As a mother, I understand the hopes and worries that come with trusting schools to care for our children.

I’ve spent more than a decade working alongside students in Fresno Unified School District (as a counselor and program manager) who face real barriers such as learning gaps, absenteeism, trauma, and instability. I’ve witnessed what happens when adults choose partnership over punishment and investment over indifference. I know this transformation personally because I was once one of those students. I believe that our students in Area 1 carry the same potential, brilliance, and resilience. With strong support systems, shared responsibility, and community investments, their journeys can be shaped by purpose, progress, and promise.

I serve because I believe:

  • Literacy is freedom, and every child deserves to read with confidence

  • Student outcomes improve when families feel supported, respected, and connected to schools.

  • Education should lead to real opportunity such as college, careers, and economic mobility

Leading With Heart and Integrity

Leadership, to me, has never been about a title, it’s about showing up, serving with integrity, listening with intention, and following through on promises. My leadership is rooted in lived experience, deep community connection, and a lifelong commitment to uplifting others.

As your school board trustee, I will lead with courage and collaboration, working relentlessly to ensure that every child, every family, every educator, and every future is valued, supported, and empowered to thrive.
